My Hifdh Chart, Juz Amma Progress Chart (FREE Printable)

Love of The Quran

Sumayyah's Hifdh Chart

I am sure for every Muslim homeschooler, they want for their child to instill a deep unshakeable love for Islam, Allah, the religion, prophet Muhammad SAW and the Quran. Through learning about this everyday it will shape your child's character and develop a strong relationship with our Lord.

One of the ways that has helped me to achieve this with my DD is to regularly have her listen to Quran recitation to get her ears attuned to it. Up until she was 3.6 years old we made the Quran as a part of our daily homeschooling. This was either memorization short surahs, reading the tafseer or translation. For encouragement we agreed on a small treat if she completed a surah, I would say to her "if you complete your surah this week maybe Allah will reward you with something inshallah." The most important thing to maintain is positivity and be relaxed about their progress, keep your Quran lesson as a happy experience because ultimately your goal is to develop in your child a love for the Quran and a thing that they associate with happy memories when they are older.

When the surahs became longer and more difficult to memorise we took a break from memorizing and just listened to surahs from Juz Amma from our favorite reciters. Resuming after a huge 5 month long break feeling refreshed and reinvigorated. We began again from surah An Nas, and for every surah she completed she would get a treat and put a sticker on her Juz Amma Progress Chart. This was a very helpful visual aid for mother and daughter to track her progress and motivate her to do more.

After completing Juz Amma I found a lovely sister from the USA who designs beautiful bespoke pieces of art, who designed this for my DD.

A bespoke certificate for the Completion of Juz Amma

We also celebrated with friends and family and made invitations to the special occasion.

The Juz Amma Progress Chart is a coloring in page that they customized to whatever their heart desires and place a sticker whenever they have completed a surah. When they have completed the full Juz celebrate with them with love, praise, hugs and kisses, a certificate or a party. Let us know in the comment section how you celebrated with your children or how you keep them motivated and encouraged when memorizing the Quran.

So here is the free printable that I designed and successfully used with my DD, for all to share.
